What are some good brands of loaders for a ford 1520 tractor. I found a guy willing to sell one for $2500, but I'm wanting to checks to see if it isn't much more to buy new. I have thought of woods, bush hog and new holland. What other brands are out there?

Koyker and Westendorf. I have a friend who has bush hog loaders and they have held up well. I haven't been around the other brands very much.

How you liking the 1520., I have a 2120 that I bought a couple of years ago and it had the ford loader and I love how handy it is

The 1520..... Isn't that the little two-banger? I've run one of those, surprising amount of snot for what it is. That one had a Ford loader on it and I remember it being s-l-o-w but it got the job done. Was a two stick control as well.

I really like the tractor and it was the right price. Mine is hydrostatic and I wish it was geared, but hard to complain. It has been so hard finding a used loader for this tractor, because they normally stay on the tractor. I've been looking for about a year and was pricing new loaders.....$4700-$5700! I finally found one today, $2500 with the rear wheel weights! It is a new holland loader/ford loader and it is mounted to a tractor just like mine so it should bolt right up. I'm picking it up as well as about 40 sheets of insulation for the basement in Akron.

The hydrostatic sucks a lot of power, also you are not able to use stearing brakes since the hydrostatic is on the the same side. I mow right of way in the summer on 80+ hp tractors and you just get use to using steering brakes. Other than that it will be nice with the loader to go forward and reverse with the hydrostatic.

Are you buying the sheets of insulation from the CL ad? If so, let me know how good the sheets look? He has great prices and have chatted in emails before.

    Congrats on the loader

Yep insulation king, I hope the stuff is in good shape. I don't care about flaws here and there since they are going behind a wall. The price is crazy cheap, that same stuff is like $45 at HD, I hope it lives up to what he has told me about it. I will let you know what I think.

I picked up 40 sheets of 2 in. and it is actually pretty decent stuff. Would word real nice for a pole barn, it is gonna work good for the basement. Where the guy has stored at is a real crap hole though, it was real muddy and thought I was gonna have to lock in 4 wheel.

Right up my alley.. I am also in NE OHIO. Give me a little more info about the insulation sheets please.
I did own a 2120 Ford with a loader gear tractor.. Great piece and drag many logs behind it. All the big work is done so I bought a 1520 with 35 hp hydro with new holland loader. The best snow blowing tractor I have owned .. Have to use low and keep the revs way up for pulling trees but I really like the tractor. I bought the blower on eBay brand new for $1500.. Took a little rework and driveshaft , hoses hook right into my loader control.

I like it! I'm still waiting on one fitting for my loader then it's go time. The insulation I got off a guy in Akron, he advertises on Craigslist. He has a site I think it's insulationking.com, or just search insulation on craigslist he will come up. I bought 4 x 8 x 2" for my basement $12 a piece, they pieces are in good shape or will work good for my basement.
