    5 pounds and 30”? No thanks. I’m not a fan of Fiskars’ wonder-axes. (Edited to add: I’ve bought both their X27 and the heavier splitting maul and don’t believe either live up to the hype. And the “special coating” they put on them is not durable.) Splitting short blocks of straight-grained frozen red oak shouldn’t be a challenge for even a 3-pounder.

    Rarely do we see any of these "influencers" actually split a round with a knot or two. I'm not impressed.

    No doubt...that oak looks like you could stab it with a flat blade screwdriver and it'd split!

    $130 is certainly a bridge too far for this hoarder. Especially since they have tightened up on their warranties.
