    Looks like the pesky Firewood tree ! Lol.
    But it do look like Ash to me as well .

    Ya BluJacket, I got it pretty close to where you got that Black Locust a couple years ago. There's a lot of mature trees in that area.

    first couple pics looks like norway maple sorta, last one looks like poplar
    I don't cut up much poplar, I leave it - the bark may be a bit too thick for poplar

    I like the trailer. Have one a lot like it. Love dropping the gates to roll the big ones in and out too.

    Nice load too. My guess was also ash.

    I thought mostly Ash, but there were a few pieces that really did not have the diamond bark. Most likely a little bit of a mix.

    Most definitely white ash. On the one that bill thought might be poplar, the bark just looks different because of the ash borer. That bark will just start flaking off as the tree dies.

    Young ash trees and smaller limbs of mature trees don't have that rough diamond pattern.
