What kind of appliance adapters are you harman guys using. They only duravent adapter I can find for harman is the pro series and I have the older duravent pipe. If I cant find something that works for my duravent setup I have to drop 700$ on new pipe while mine my duravent is 1yr old and I spent 500$ on it

It still might work even though one is Pro and yours isn't. You might just have to RTV it up or silicone tape it. When I got my Quad the guy gave me all the piping. Although I couldn't use it because it was all the wrong configuration for me but most old pipe (regular DV) and Pro seem to fit together except one that was really corroded. Just got to seal it up.

Maybe someone else can chime in on it.

I don't think you're supposed to mix them but you're just going from adapter to the rest of the vent. Can't hurt to try it.

I think your not supposed to mix them because one is multifuel and one isnt which means nothing to me cause im only burning wood pellets. Just need to know if that harman duravent adapter will fit into that regular duravent. Wish somebody stocked one local so I could test fit it

The Pro has a silicone gasket internal in the piping that seals the pipe so you "shouldn't" have leaks.

What I'm saying is the pieces of Pro that I had fit together with old style DV that I have BUT I did not use it because the few pieces the guy gave me didn't work out with the configuration of vent that I needed here. Whether it's going to work for you mixing the piping........I don't know.

I used all the stuff from Lowe's,
adapter and pipe they stock. Not the pro stuff.
Installed two P68's.. had no issues.
    if that is any help.

The mix works. Make sure you go ahead and tape up the seam with silicone tape.

If it helps, you do not need the special Harman appliance adapter. I went through this when the P43 was installed. They make a special part number that's supposed to be specific to the Harman flue outlet and I thought I needed that part. Come to find out, it is not necessary, I went with the standard duravent appliance adapter and it fits perfectly. You should not need to mix and match at all.

*big sigh*......duravent = leaks and callbacks, having to seal joints, tees, elbows. ICC. They even make a bolt on Harman adapter, which connects directly to the stove body....no leaks, no having to worry about seal failure either.

I have had to seal my ICC elbow with tape. Replaced it and the second was the same so I just taped it.
