Nice to get the wood on your own place.

Always fun to spend quality time with the saws. How much land do you have to cut from?

37 acres. Lots of dead ash down but in real swampy areas, gonna have to get creative getting them out. Haven't walked the whole property yet but have found a good amount of ash, cherry and poplar standing dead and lots of healthy white oaks. My last house was on 4 acres but had a ton of standing dead red oaks, moved quite a bit here and gave away some to friends and family.

Nice start and congrats on the new property! Looks like you have plenty to cut in the future.

Saw time is always the best part IMO. :saw: 37 acres should keep you busy for a while.

    Nice property and truck!
If those are standard pallet measurements they are around 3' x 3'? With stacking up to 4'?
Tight stacked that comes out to a little under 1/4 cord. Probably less when thrown.

Got out today and cut/split a small load of ash. Tons back there but it's in a swamp and had to be carried out by hand so working away at it when I can

    Congrats!

I don't think you'll have 1/3 cord (face cord to me) in a large tote with it being tossed. Stacked, yes.

I filled the 4 totes that are there with oak to sit for a few years. This ash is just gonna get piled up and moved right into the shed before fall it's already pretty dry.

Good looking rig. I'm a Ford guy but that is the best looking body style of the later models. I'd drive it.

Actually the toughest truck I ever owned was a 97 Dodge 1/2 ton 318 5 speed. Not fast, not quick, not the best ride. Took ever thing I threw at it.

My favorite truck was a 91 Ram250, 2WD with 360...It could out work any other truck that I have owned. Seemed like I couldn't make the rear end squat like these new trucks do.
