Introducing Firewood Hoarders TV, a channel for the Roku streaming media player. Most of the content comes directly from members of this forum and you can join in by sharing your own videos too! To add Firewood Hoarders TV to your Roku, follow this link or find us in the channel store under Fitness and Outdoors. Firewood Hoarders TV is also available through our YouTube and WordPress sites. What is Roku?
Jack I am gonna sticky this one. There is interest but its gonna take some time to get going I think. We have still got lots of work to do here including a video section and pics...... It's gonna happen but its gonna have to be around all our schedules.
Also not all of us have a Roku so that could be the issue as well. I am gonna PM you a little later with an idea.
Not sure you fully understand Pete, the channel is already up and running. Anyone can add it to their Roku (assuming that they have one) just like they would any other private channel. I'm not asking for the mods to do anything, I will take care of everything. All that I am asking of anyone is to send me links to good youtube videos. And if anyone wants to be a star, make your own video and I will put it up. When I feel that there is enough quality content, I will make the channel public and it will go in the channel store.
I understand completely ! It's a fantastic idea Jack and honestly I wouldn't have the time to do anything with it anyway. It's your baby run with it brother it's great. The idea is related to it but not and I don't want to discuss in public at the moment.
Were planning on shooting a lot of video at the G2G this spring. Should be a lot of good content then to add. I don't shoot a lot of video when cutting cause I usually don't have an extra person around that isn't helping. But if I get a chance I think it's a good idea that would be cool.
It's the most popular Internet streaming box, hooks up to your tv and plays video. Lots of people are dumping cable for them. We did.
Same here Swags, but I might get some cooking vids done. Not just frying on top of the wood stove, but some of the more expiramental stuff I do.
Hey Pete, could you test this URL and if it works add it to the first post in this thread. https://owner.roku.com/add/FIREWOOD
I stumbled across that one years ago in an image search for something completely unrelated. Definitely a classic. Which is probably all too true.
But some people, like me, do. I wood develop one for Apple TV, but I don't have Apple TV. Hoping this will help us spread our message (yes, I think we have a message) of clean and safe burning using as season and dried supply of fuel. Not to mention, it might draw in a few new members.
Hey jack, here is another suggestion, and that is Hickock45. I have been watching his videos for a few years now. He is a avid firearms enthusiast, and does videos on modern, and historic firearms. He is a retired school teacher, and really knows his history when it comes to firearms. Hope you enjoy. http://www.youtube.com/user/hickok45?feature=watch
