I am new to the FWHC and just thought I would post a pic of the firewood box I built last year. It holds about three days worth of wood and keeps the wife from having to go outside in the cold! Lol[IMG]
Does anyone else have a setup like this? Would love to see some pics.

Sweet! We use an old crate used to hold produce. My wfe likes old things with character....that includes the man she married. :)

Welcome Aframe. I like that box a lot. It has a nice rustic look to it.

I made one a few years ago repurposed from an old oak bureau. I used the side plate from my dads' 1976 Jotul 602 for the front, and some cast iron cup pulls for the handles. I keep thinking I need to tack some copper around the inside top frame to keep the wood from chipping and let it patina from there.

My grandfather was a sales rep for smithcorona typewriters. My toy box as a kid was a wooden typewriter shipping crate ( still in my parents attic) and our Woodbox was another one.
We have one of those metal rings for wood. It holds one days worth for us. b114cbd7-32e8-4b60-900a-4d20a127352b_145.jpg
It folds flat for storage in the Summer (front to back)
