It looks like we are in for some cool weather next week so I dragged home some fuel this afternoon to try to keep the tribe a little warmer.

The local lumber yard sells the Hay Creek brand of pellets... made close to the house. I burned over two tons of these last year with decent results.

They certainly are not Bear Mountain or even Jed's softies but @ $199/ton and a one mile round trip to get 'em they are a good value for me.

I have the shop nice and toasty now... getting ready to reassemble the engine in the Jeep GC I bought for the wife a few years ago... she sez I can't work on my race car until the Jeep is running. Besides I sold her DD today so she's on foot... not too happy about that.

Bought a ton of pellets, paid for some Christmas presents and some cash left over.

Long story but my no brother good in law "fixed" her car so we went from a power steering leak to no power steering... have too many projects laying around to mess with it.

I'm fixin' the Jeep.. the new owner of the wife's old car replaced the new pump I put on and it appears to be steering good.
I think my BIL's idea to forego getting the correct pulley install tool and, instead, use a hammer to put on the pulley was what killed the new pump.

And I can't work on my race car until her Jeep runs... just got home tonight... back to work after a 10 week vacation getting a new knee. The shop is heating up as I write this... the Jeep will live again... soon I hope.

Ouch. Don't tell your wife that .. :heidi:

I hope so too, but take it easy there krooser, and shame that BIL to help w/ any heavy lifting - don't overdo it with the new-&-improved hardware too soon.. Hope the Jeep fix goes well for you.

First week back driving with the new knee... hurt all over and only 2220 miles ( damm gov't e-logs)....

Going to see if I can invent another step that I can bolt on my Kenworth to shorten the 24" distance between the low and high step I use to get in the cab. I'm in and out 20-30 times per day and it's getting tougher as the years pile on.
