    Hello
It is a Buderus boiler with SuperStore and Tekmat controller. The Carlin burner quit about a month ago but I hit reset and it kept chugging along. This time, It happened on a Saturday night, the weekend of course! The reset did not work because it went into Latchup which is what the Carlin burner manual calls it.
Pressing the reset button for 30 seconds does reset it but I figured it needs a little TLC so I switched to the Electric On Demand Eco Smart hot water for a couple weeks.
That worked for a few days! See fix here
Electric On Demand DHW water Luke warm!
Also use the pellet stove for heat so no emergency service needed. So I finally got back to it.
    Normally the maintenance is:
    Change the oil tank filter
    Change the oil pump strainer
    Change the burner nozzle
    Bleed the oil line.
In this case the none of these items were that old, therefore I pulled the nozzle for examination. It was really fouled and the turbulator was quit oily. No wonder the photocell tripped because the spray pattern must be way off?
Therefore I cleaned them both, the turbulator and the nozzle, in the the nozzle assembly.
The boiler fired up fine and has been working well for the last few days. The last pic is the temperature of the SuperStor tank.
    Has anyone else done this?
