Just comparing how often you perform shutdown and cleanings. I do a quick clean every two weeks and remove the burn pot parts and soak in hot soapy water. Clean the baffle plates, heat tubes and side walls. Also exhaust port and holes on back side. My monthy is the same with adding cleaning heat tubes from top entry, exhaust fan blades and leaf blower on piping. Do you follow this cleaning cycle or extend it?
I would say I extend it. But I just did a LBT with fast clean to do some tests on different pellets. The last clean was reported in the LBT thread. I did some testing there too. I cannot say how far apart the cleanings are but for sure after a second ashpan dump. Outside temps dictates cleanings too.
I dump the ash pan every couple weeks and give it a more thorough cleaning once a month, and hit the venting with the brush/leaf blower every couple tons. I pull the combustion fan once a year and change the furnace filter once a month. Outside of that, I just feed it daily.
Clean internals once a month or so, when time allows. Clean exhaust/combustion blower and deep clean once a year. After 5 seasons I've pushed it even further to where I only cleaned it once mid season. Just dumping the ash pan when necessary. I just bought a Harman PF 100 pellet furnace for $400. So next year the Fahrenheit may be offline for awhile! So excited to have a larger hopper and especially to have the larger 3 speed distribution blower!!
Wow, not wasting anytime on the search for a furnace upgrade are you Congrats and hopefully you can dial it in like the Fahrenheit
