    Hello
Oh those Dirty Rings!!! Let's stop the Jamming!!!
I always say for smooth pellet feeding, check your Auger, Auger Chute and Auger Bearings! Augers and auger chutes can not only be dirty but also have bits of splattered slag that needs grinding down. That is what I call Auger Pox and no stove is immune not even my Harman!
The best auger bearing is the sealed Harman and the second best is the Whitfield with the black Nylatron and the 3rd Best is the Old Pelpro with the high temp white Nylon. The bronze and Delron bearings on those other stoves can be upgraded to high temp Nylon or Nylatron but some of these upgrades need a bigger hole modification in the auger end plate. The Nylatron is only for 3/4" diameter pellet stoves and the high temp Nylon is for 5/8" diameter augers. If you have a 1/2" diameter auger, then I suggest you upgrade your pellet stove!
In this case of the EF2 & EF3 with the 3/4" diameter augers this Nylatron and End Plate just bolts right in!!!
    See pics
Pic 1 - old SAE 832 oil impregnated bronze auger bushing
Pic 2 - Skanky and dirty inside of bushing. This one was crying for replacement because it was squeeking like a mouse when the auger turned! ! !
Pic 3-4 new Nylatron as shown from inside of hopper.
Pic 5 - new Hi Quality Gleason Avery auger motor and new Nylatron bearing with auger end plate

    Auger turns freely like butter!
Although if pellets are not kept in a dry place and soak up some moisture, then even this setup can jam!
With nice dry pellets, I have seen auger motors last for 20 years!
