Helped a friend clean up a tree that blew down in her yard March of 2024. Turned out to be what might have been an English Walnut about 14” in diameter. But not sure about that, definitely not Black Walnut. I CSS larger pieces and just got around to burning them this week. <20% moisture content and still pretty heavy. Pleasantly surprised to its burn qualities, lasts long and excellent coals. Picture attached…. English Walnut?
Cant say I've seen an English walnut tree in person, but I see the chambered center pith seen in black walnut so it could very well be.
