As the title says, I am looking for an ignitor replacement for the Enerzone. Or cheap OEM. If available.

I will remove to measure and provide pics.

    Thanks in advance.

If it's a "standard" rod-type ignitor, Grainger has a real good selection. On my Englander, the original manufacturer name was engraved into it.....saw that after I cleaned it real well.

    Ok...

    Here are some pics.

It says "Wood Dale IL U.S.A."

    It's a 300 watt 120 volt

Then a couple sets of numbers.

    E 09 01
    And
    HDC19013

And finally, there is a horseshoe, with a a name around it. But I can't make it out (Tempco? Over a Horseshoe)

Looks like you will need other dimensions like diameter, length and lead length to match up a cartridge heater from Grainger.

    Here's an example.

That's a Tempco ignitor......same make as Englander uses. Check their website with the info you got, and/or give them a call direct.

It's 4" long and about 3/8" in diameter.

I will look into Englander tomorrow. Thanks imacman.

Englander doesn't list them in a way you can cross reference. Better to look at the Tempco website. I ended up calling them. They're in Wood Dale, Illinois

    Hope this helps Dex.

    Next question. .

Will that brass collar come off? It appears to be pressed on.

Going to send Tempco a email here shortly.

Did this one crap out already?

I would suspect it will press off fairly easy. I wouldn't try unless its DOA though.

It's dead.. Dead as a door nail.

Kinda pizz'd off about it. I run this thing in On/Off all the time. So the ignitor gets a lot of use, but after one season?

The original igniter on my 6041 chit the bed after the first season, and that stove only ran in high/low. I didn't even call USS to try to see if they would warranty it, as I'd bought it in August 2011 and the igniter died in October 2012. The replacement I ordered from Grainger outlasted the original and still works to this day.

    Nice 343amc!

This collar won't come off and is what holds the cartridge in a housing. I will have to get a pic tomorrow. I lit the stove manually, and have it idling on low, just for a little added heat in the living room. Going down to 9° tonight and the Fahrenheit was running on High (level 4 of 5) a lot Last night and never dropped down on low very much. It was just as cold, so having the Enerzone provide some heat, has the Furnace taking a little break here and there.

I just looked in my manual, and it has a 2 year warranty on the ignitor. But I am unsure on how to go about getting it? I got the stove shipped directly to me. Member Fyrebug (when he worked for SBI) hooked me up with a deal. So without an actual dealer to go through? I am unsure.

So I have an email out to them. I will still buy another another through Grainger, or straight from Tempco, just because they are so cheap.

Don't know what you used to try getting it off, but did you try heating just the collar w/ a propane torch and tapping with a small hammer or lg. dia. punch?

EDIT: And since it's toast anyway, maybe cut the ignitor off flush with both sides & drill it out?

Yep. Heated the collar and tried to twist it with a pair of vise grips and locked in a vise.

The cut and drill approach may work great. :)
