Anyone know of a company that makes one that splits horizontal. I've searched and can't find one. Would be useful early in the morning.

I would take a horizontal one if that is all I can get. I'm 6'2 220 it can get uncomfortable splitting this way

Horizontal, or vertical? There are a number of horizontal electric splitters out there (a bunch if you include the lil 4-6 ton machines)
    Product
Or just pick your favorite machine and swap over to an electric motor...I just built a convertible one last year (gas/electric) have mostly used it with electric so far, I like it.

I bet its nice not having the noise. I prefer an electric power washer for that reason. If I buy a splitter it will be electric.

It is...but not silent though, as there is still a whine from the pump...but if you think about it, you never hear the pump over the engine, so its obviously a good bit quieter.

Boss 7 ton. Works on a regular 15a outlet. I’ve had it I think 4 years and haven’t had a problem or much it couldn’t go through.
Have had no issues running it on an extension cord, albeit a rather stout cord.
Put it up on a little wheeled platform and built a slight incline which seems to help quite a bit with the hydraulic fluid. IMG_1325.jpeg IMG_1326.jpeg
