I searched and didn't find an Ego topic, so...

10 years ago or so I bought my first Ego chainsaw. It reviewed well, and I used it a lot. I left it behind in CA for the ex when we divorced in '20, and bought a new one after I settled in IL

I like it a lot. I think it works as well a a similar gas saw, and have purchased more Ego tools (weed trimmer, pole saw, hedge clippers, leaf blower, and self-propelled walk behind mower).

Keeping to the same brand means battery interoperability. Indeed, snapping the 7 AH mower battery onto the chainsaw makes it REALLY cut.

And finally, now, a few years later, aftermarket batteries and chargers are available on the Internet. Even a larger 9 AH one. If I decide I need a snowblower this winter, it will be an Ego.

One thing I noticed about the control electronics on the mower and chainsaw. At those times. rather than bog down like a gas saw, the controller senses the increased load and the motor actually speeds up.

I see on their product page they now have chain saws 12" up to 20".

Oh, and on EBay, I found a carbide chain for my 14"er.
