its on, and feeding pellets, but no fire. I worry, there are a ton of pellets in the pot now.

    I pressed reset then auger.

Husband took toddler to halloween party. Maybe I should shut it off and get out my space heaters?

    Thanks!

Do you see any glow at all near the ignitor area?

Did you check the items listed on P.40 in the owners manual under "Troubleshooting"?

thanks, shut it down and unplugged it for awhile. I removed the excess of pellets and trying it again, so far no glow from ignitor. Husband should be home soon, we will use the trouble shooting from the manual, thanks imacman ! :)

Does the "L" show up on the display after it doesn't ignite?

There are no error codes on the display.

It might not stay on the display for a long time.......best to look right after it shuts down after non-ignite.

If an "I" appears, you blew the ignitor fuse.

Bummer, in the trouble shooting in the guide you mentioned earlier, we are trying to test the ignitor and its not repsonding correctly.

Dear Husband did some trouble shooting from the display, no problems detected. And he emptied the ash pan full of raw pellets. Then he scraped the burn pot again. I missed a build up on the very back corner when I scraped it last week. I am not sure why but it finally lit, its running thank god, it was getting chilly.

I actually thought I was premature on cleaning and scraping since we have run it on low so far, and it gets turned off during the afternoon.

My husband likes to hit the gas on my vehicles to clean them out (he says I drive like a granny).... I wonder if it would help if I ran the Eco65 higher during the shoulder seasons?

Running a pellet stove on low for extended periods is actually hard on it.....the fuel air ratio isn't optimum. It needs to be run on med-high or high for a few hours every 2-3 days to "clean it out" as your hubby mentioned.

Glad you found the ignition problem, though. A clean stove is a happy stove.

FANTASTIC :) I can handle running the stove on high any day of the week!. I personally thank you imacman . He will appreciate the blaze behind the glass anyway......We are recent converts from old large woodstoves that he would get ripping for me.

Your welcome. Always willing to help out with the "little details".

Pellet stoves have a learning curve, for sure, and usually run great, but maintenance is important......I included burning on high every few days as a "maintenance" item.

Bottom line.......keep it clean, make sure gaskets are all sealed, keep it fed with plenty of air, and burn good pellets.

Is your ignitor area where mine is, it's almost dead center in the pot (small round patch of holes). There is a small speed bump of carbon that builds up behind it, but so far, it has never made its way up to the ignitor.

As imacman stated, running on low is worse on a pellet stove. It's not gonna kill the stove, but the burn dirtier that way and the "bump" of carbon will build faster with less heat.

My ignitor has ran for quite some time now and I believe it's the same style cartridge as yours, but your stove has an air pump? It's probably at 145 hrs now.

Going to look in the manual, but I thought that all the Enerzone Euromax/Drolet Eco -65 stoves tried to relish if it sensed a misfire? Mine will try to start 3 times. After 3 attempts, it will shut down and throw a code.

Only once did the stove miss it's first ignition and that was last year when it had burned a ton of fuel without touching it. It still lit, but did not do so on the first attempt.

Is this why the glass fogged faster than I expected?

More than likely. The more times the stove starts between cleanings the dirtier the glass will get. Once it gets cold and you're burning steady it won't be anywhere near as bad.

More than likely. . Low burn will kill clean glass.

(Edit: I was to slow. But hey Sub, great minds think alike ;))
