new saw. i richened L and H a quarter turn and cut for a few hours. then going to tune the carb properly i have gotten it to where it won't run. to be in the ballpark what would be starting settings for idle, L, and H. thanks.

well. just looked in the owners manual. the L and H screws are clockwise to reduce flow, but the idle is CW to increase flow. this is where i got into trouble in the tune. i was trying to increase idle speed to where the chain just skipped and got to where the saw would not run. i'll check the L and H positions and turn them one turn or a bit better out, and at least i have a handle on the idle.
the plastic plugs should be reinserted after the tune?
