Last weeks wind/rainstorm brought several limbs and trees on the road into my neighborhood and I was going to ask some homeowners if I could have the wood. I have a shin splint flare up so nothing I would be able to do in the next few days. Got out of work around noon today for the holiday and as I came into the neighborhood I saw piles of rounds on the side of the road. I went home and got my truck. Got about a 1/4 cord of hard maple. All I had to do was lift it in the truck. As I was leaving I saw a pickup come out of a side road full of rounds. I went down the side road and saw two fresh maple stumps, I also saw some fresh downed poplar and elm in Log form. I may get that when I feel like cutting and don’t have a better scrounge.
