The ash that I have been css last couple months has really been drying fast. Of course I split it smaller and it's stacked in a good spot with great almost constant airflow and 8 plus hr's of sun

I was out messing around today and I admit I don't really think moisture Meters are all that reliable but I have one and I know you have to fresh split a piece to get center reading but I was getting 15-19% in the middle of the wood not fresh split and it was reading 6 % on ends. Im quite sure its high in the center next time im out by the pile im going to split a few pieces to see.

Chances are it is higher moisture than that but the good part is that by next fall, you won't know the difference and it will burn rather nicely.

I totally trust my moisture meter, the proof is in the burning

Ash cut recently and split small will be in great shape after this summer.
