Hope you guys don’t mind another follow up. I had a chance to run the brush cutter in the woodlot. I’d already been through with the handheld a while back but was checking to see how well it would maneuver through the trees. For this kind of work, the 26” width is good for getting between the trees. I would opt for something wider for an open field. For clearing everything, it is a bit much to maneuver back and forth a lot. I think it will work best to keep it moving forward and making several trips through using a different path each time. Even that much will save a lot of time with the handheld and keep paths open for ingress and egress. Definitely accessing areas I couldn’t with the tractor. With a little common sense, it will travel through all but the steepest parts of the area. That being said, it is dry now and that may not be the case when things get wet and muddy. There is a lot of loose debris on the ground and the soil itself is loose on top with hard packed clay underneath. It does a good job of climbing over the small logs and larger limbs on the ground. Worth the money? Personally I think I will get a lot of use out of this one as I enjoy hanging out in the woodlot and always looking for any excuse to do so. With the lawn mower deck and wood chipper I can alway find some reason to run it. For a one time job or before laying down that much dough, I think it would be advisable to maybe rent one and see how it works for you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
