Picked this up at my local dealer yesterday. Came with a 16 inch bar .325 pitch. I also picked up an 18 for it and some windsor semi chisel chain. I hope to get it in some wood this weekend.
    I've got two other 50cc saws, a ms270 and a Homelite 330...I think I'm up to 8 saws now...I gotta stop.

I had considered the Echo 490, but my 421 runs so good I added another dolmar to my collection.

That thing is mint. Is it nos? I am working on a 5100 right now but it doesn't look like that and I probably have too much money into it but they sure are nice saws!!!:saw:[/QUOTE]

The cs490 is a good saw for sure:

    Shameless plug.

You wouldnt have gone wrong either way, but if you already have the 421 it makes sense to keep it all dolmar with the 5100. They are great saws! I really like feeding my 7910 wood!

This dealer seems to have all older models....if you ask him about a 421 or a 5105...he never heard of them. (even though new brochures are sitting right there)
He seems to stock the 420 510 5100 and 7900....the other dealer in my area, I did get my 421 there, but I try to stay away from them.
So I guess it is nos.

I did consider a 6100....got a few big trees on my property....just might talk myself into one when I get to them.

Nice! You'll love it. I love my 510. Just saw a deal on CL by a nearby dealer. $365 for a new 510 and $315 for a new 421. Wouldn't mind snagging the 421, but can't buy more saws for a while.....Cheers!

I've owned the 5100 & the 5105 and both were very good 50cc saws with lots of torque.
