I just use them fresh. I grow my herbs in pots. Cut off what you need, and use it. These herb plants come inside in freezing temperatures.

The only one I don't try anymore it's cilantro. It bolts too easily, so I just buy it.

Who wants to be honest? What other herb have you been drying. Change your location to Colorado and it is legal now:smoke:;):sherlock:. I like Cheetos man.

I knew someone was going there.

Washington, Colorado, and Oregon now I do believe. More states will be added.

Just cut the plants off and hang them upside down by the stem.

I hung a pile of different herbs on string all around the kitchen some years back. After a couple weeks they will start to get crumbly. Grab a baggie and wrap it around the plant when you take it down. Seal the baggie and put it on the counter for a couple days. Keep an eye out for condensation forming on the inside of the bag. If you see any, it's not dry enough. Hang it back up for a couple more days.

In '09, among other things, I thought I'd grow some basil. I had no idea how much I would get from 2 plants nor did I realize how potent it was when fresh. I ended up vacuum sealing about a dozen "snack" size bags. I still have a couple of those bags left.

I ended up with more parsley than I could use so I dried some in the microwave and some in a brown bag in the boiler room. I think the boiler room drying was better.
