List is $4689 on Harman's site so $539 off, fair price for a demo. Is this being sold by a dealer or private sale?

You would want to make sure he is STILL a registered dealer, so stove can be registered for warranty.

I suppose the price isn't bad. The best thing is it is actually available right now as opposed as to having several weeks lead time.

Several weeks??? I heard they were out at 2 months presently. By the time you get it and install it and get it ready, you won't need it anyway.

Sorry, 6-8 weeks is a very short lead time for a lot of stuff where I work, so it is just several weeks in my mind. Many of our parts are 84+ weeks out - standard lead time. I suppose if I were the one waiting for a pellet stove to be delivered, I would have been in a different mindset when I wrote that.

I waited 12 weeks for kitchen cabinets that normally take 2 weeks to get. I ordered a plow from John Deere for my tractor and they said it could be 6 to 10 weeks out. They are normally stocked that the warehouse! :(

Currently, the 15-20 ton CRAC units I use from Vertiv (Liebert) are 32 weeks out....absolutely freakin' RIDICULOUS!

The small 5 ton unit I ordered in the beginning of July just got delivered last week....Original delivery date was 10/29....been pushed until last week.

A Cat 250KW generator I ordered last April (2021) had an original delivery date of mid July (2021) just got delivered the first week of January (2022)....they blamed the china controller/chip shortage...YUP, KEEP MAKING EVERYTHING THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
