This is at a friends place about 30 mins from me. She lives along a large creek but is basically in a pretty busy neighborhood. She's been feeding these guys for almost 10 years and they literally stand at the troth waiting for her. Haven't been able to convince her to let me hunt her tiny piece of woods next to the creek :(

    Wow!!!!

That has to be a costly thing to feed that many deer. Corn is down in price a bit but still expensive.

One of my customers feeds and has been for decades. He rattles the corn bag and they come running. Literally. He can pet them...anyone else, they stay a few feet from. It's freaking hilarious to see.

    Of course, no hunting.

100% wild. They live on the edge of a creek right in a pretty good sized (wooded) neighborhood. I've seen it with my own eyes.

Don't want to be a downer but deer are wild and nobody needs to be feeding them and making them all dependent...Just saying...

Your definitely entitled to your opinion milleo . I agree with you (to a point) but these deer are by no means going to starve to death if she decided to stop feeding them.

Ok never mind I can't. As far as the feeding goes the deer will never depend on it and if all of a sudden one day it was never there again they would survive just fine. The thing with feeding deer like that is the spread of disease that can occur. I'm not condemning anyone who does it. It's your right and if you take pleasure in doing it that's great. It's just something I don't partake in. Especially here in PA with CWD on the uprise.

I actually think it is illegal to feed them here in Maine...

In the 2nd pic that 5th buck on the left is a dandy. Nice looking bases on him. I'd like to line him up with the old .222

It really is, they go from looking like does with a rack, to the massive trophies you want to hang on your wall.

Is it just me, or do some of those look like they have a touch of mange?

Just find a nice neighboring tree and carry about 2" of corn in a plastic bucket up the tree with you. Once you're set for hunting, shake the hell out of the corn inside the bucket and wait for the dumb ones to come running!

And don't forget to thank the nice lady!
