The deep snow is gone finally. It was an excellent day to run the saws. My partner uses an Echo CS-400 which cuts well. There was no time to put all the rounds in one spot due to rain.
It looks like a quarter of the tree length ash got cut up today. I am sore and Tuckered out after only three hours work. Sorry if there are dupe pics, still finding out how to post pics with the droid.
It looks a lot like the stuff I got this winter, good wood to have. After spitting mine in March it felt weird to wheelbarrow it to my stacks for drying, it was nearly 1/3 less the weight of any other split wood. Nice work!
This is the first winter in several that I have had much ash and have a lot now for several winters. I really like the way it off gasses in my cat stove.....nice bright orange glow and hangs at about 1500 for quite awhile.
