    I'm looking for a muffler.
My Troy Bilt GTX-20 muffler fell apart and is no longer available (NLA). Is there a company out there that will make NLA garden tractor parts?

Apparently this muffler has not been available for 19 years according to the local dealer.

Part number 78 in the diagram. Top right.

There’s a guy in Maine who makes a lot of reproduction parts for old machines. He specializes in Kohler which is good for you. His name is Norman and his company is Isavetractors. He has a YouTube channel and website you could check out.

That's who I was going to recommend.

That's just a Kohler Magnum 20 hp, right? Probably other headers and mufflers that would work.

Doing dinner digging that tractor was made in Port Washington WI, which would lead me to believe it was either a simplicity or bolens made tractor.
It was a bolens mid sized tractor green what I found. So maybe a different bolens muffler will fit? At least that's another way to look for a used one. It is apparently pretty much a bolens gt2000. Maybe you can find a muffler for one of those?

Shame on you for keeping it running so long. You should have let it fail and replaced it two or three times since… furthering the mantra of our throwaway culture… and then bought something equally filthy in its production. Only to throw that away.

Hope you find a solid replacement or can coffee can a repair together Tim.
Maybe slap a sail, perhaps a jib or spinnaker on that bad boy- that’ll help power you along- just make sure you grow the cotton (r-cist) for the sail(s) and stitching and the ropes on someone else’s land and have it shipped here for assembly, cos that’s a better way.
Nah- I say burn those dinos you planet heater.

Where’s that meme of the goat in a cage eating grass under the operator when you need it….?
Oh wait let me scan the multiple repeat posts in the “Funny pics” thread… I’ll find it sooner than I know.

Hmm, on closer inspection of the picture of the tractor/ muffler you posted, that doesn't appear to be a Kohler magnum engine.

    No luck there.:salute:
(Also afraid I'll just get a rusted piece of junk like i have now. Exhaust parts aren't something thats known to be good recycled.)
