Took some old cranberry crates that i have laying around in one of my outbuildings and turned them into storage in the bathroom. All we had there before was a basket full of towels. Im always looking for ways to use these old crates as i've got a ton of them around in all shapes and sizes. My dad's great uncle used to own my property and one of the larger buildings was used as a blueberry/cranberry packing house
Nice repurpose use there. I have seen crates and pallets used to hold canning jars and jelly jars in a rack in a kitchen. A spice or wine rack would be pretty cool too. I'd hate to break down a perfectly good crate, but rebuild a damaged one into a shelf is worthwile.
Thanks guys. It seems every time i dig around in the buildings i find something new. When i was bringing a few of those crates down i came across a tied up bundle of never used crate sides and ends. Don't know why but i get so excited when i come across this stuff!
Would make some nice shelving. My dad used coca cola wooden crates to make shelving for his warehouse and garage. We had a workman doing some work on the house after Dad died and gave him some crates as he was a collector. You might have a market for old crates around there. Do you have blueberries/cranberries on your property?
I actually tried to sell some of the crates on CL a few years ago and only had one buyer. He took 3 lol. There are blueberries and cranberries at the back of my property and down the road about 200yds. Unfortunately they're not mine as my dad's great uncle slowly sold the farm in lots over the years. Still nice looking at them and walking around the bogs and through the fields. The berries along the back of the property Crop duster action from the front yard
There is a crop duster in my area, and he's really really busy in the summer. It's amazing to watch him go down to almost the ground, and then back up in the air and juuuuuuuust have enough power to make the turn and come back down.
