I contacted someone on craigslist about a tree they had down in the last storm they said its cut up and to come get it. I asked kind of tree it is and how much was there. They promptly replied saying they dont know what it is but kindly sent me a picture....
I think Ill pass on going over and cleaning up their yard for free:picard:

That pile needs a book of matches & a gallon of diesel

I pass on those deals also, wont be digging through the brush unless its something special and/or close to home (like 2 miles maximum).Did enough pulling the good stuff out of a brush pile after Asplundh dropped a bunch in my backyard Friday night 2 weeks back.

Ended up with not quite 1/2 pickup load for me from the huge old Mulberry, plus 3 wheelbarrows worth of sticks which went to sister's firepit. Not quite done yet, another tree service finally came by on Thursday & said they'd clean up what remains (almost 2 truckloads of brush) after both Asplundh & Mid American Energy REFUSED to clean up their mess, that I knew nothing about them wanting to do the work before hand nor did I ask them to trim it away from the powerlines."Emergency job" my azz! :mad:Apparantly word got out that I wasn't too pleased with those clowns dropping the ball....;)

Just look at the stump and you can guess how much (or little) wood is there.

I think they wanted someone to come out and clean up their yard for free. I was just playing after they sent the picture. That little tree isnt worth my time to go 30 mins one way.

And, fall apart on the way to the stove.
If it doesn't fall apart on the way to the stack.

He should have to pay someone a minimum of $50 just to haul away his garbage.

You know, I don't really think these folks are trying to pull one on someone. They just don't know what the situation really is. It is ignorance for sure, but education will follow once they realize what is going on.
