Well at least it’s free and not some $300 trailer load of punky looking firewood. With that said , I’ll pass .

There’s always a few of those. It’s more like, “clean up the pile of rotten wood in my yard please”.
Or the ever present “I’ve raked up all the sticks in my yard. Now please take them away and burn them”.

I should put my pile of ash branches on CL and see if anyone takes the bait.

Actually thought about a new title to that firewood ad. Should be renamed " Over Seasoned" instead.

The 2 ads on Craigslist I've answered worked out good. Good wood, no brush, and in or next to driveway, both 20 minutes away. Unfortunately most ads here are crap wood, or obviously hard to access.

Yeah, there's been some good ones that I've scored off of CL. But when you see these, and the brush pile " free firewood" ads, you just have to laugh.

My favorite are the ones that post pictures showing nice wood with some brush and give address. They will say the ad will be removed when all wood is gone, but when you get there all that is left is the brush. I don't even bother anymore unless it is within a few miles of here or I am just really board out of my skull. When I first started out I would go out to anything and most of the time it was just a waste of my time.
