steak recipe a friend uses. this sounds crazy but works. best steak you can buy, coat with plain yellow mustard and confectioners sugar. cook only over a live pine fire? sounds nuts but it works, i've had them.

I have used the plain mustard on chicken and baby back ribs makes a nice bark on them but that was with my smoker. With my wood grill I just use garlic, salt and pepper nothing else. But if I am going to put a smear on the meat, I use a mix of garlic power, black pepper, olive oil, and cheap chardonnay, and rosemary

Hog Hunter, is that disc just to keep on the heat on the meat? I just got 2- 24" disc's to make a pair of discada's or "disco's" for more cooking on fire. Never tried one before but it should make one heck of a 'tater frying pan.

The disk just keeps some extra heat on the baby backs! I will get a pic of my tater fry pan it is a 24" disk blade.
