Off the top of my head I can't think of any, Lee.....hope everything is OK (sounds like someone is screwing you over).
If you already use an accountant/tax attorney may want to consult with them as the fee's can at least be deductible. Both can be helpful in setting up liens if applicable. Most won't settle right off the bat but will eventually and for less than you (if you can deal with a lawyer) can sue someone for. Collections can be stopped from harassment fairly easy with a written letter - a subpoena not so much
