Sorry took so long for pics, newer ones in gallery. Was just finishing oak,but it also has a flap in it (had to leave it open to test,I fix these things on the side). The unit works well.Have been running it only(integra in basement) since the below 0 temps went away, basement has not got below 49 with the water heater(insulated and on timer)and pilot light on empire dv on,bedroom temps(stairs to right of stove) much warmer.Love the room temp mode, works very well, can make differences just by shutting/opening the heavy drapes over windows. After about 24 bags decided to clean(got warm out, stove staying off 3-5 hrs a day) and found almost as much ash on either side of the ash box, almost 0 in the 90 and rest of flue pipe(and I am well below the mag numbers harman calls for).It is a sweet little unit.I only call it little because it does not realy have a high mode,if you need to heat up a room fast, this is not the unit.It is pleasing to the eye, mostly quiet, have not seen a savings over heating from the basement stove, appears bottom feeders use more fuel,BUT quality of having the heat in a different place has made life much more enjoyable.I think it is a keeper!:thumbs:Still waiting for someone to say install is illegal(close to fixed/sealed window) but am prepared to provide info.

I am not the police anymore. I know you know your stuff.

My Enerzone is a bottom feed and does seem to eat more as well. But it heats better.

My thoughts are, that the pellets are preheated coming into the pot (top feed are not hot until they drop in), but the pellets being preheated, also brings more complete combustion? Which means a cleaner burning stove.

My 2 pennies.. They are not shiny and don't mean much . :)

Probably not. Some bottom feeders have draft air coming down the auger,so I would think temps are irrelevant.Particulate matter discharge would be more of the whole stove design, combustion airflow through the whole unit.A "shelf" burn unit appears to be the best maintenince free design, like they use in europe,a small shelf fed unit(bottom fed) heating water coils(no free air units) big ash pan underneath, size of a small apartment refrig.,heats schools and churches, exhaust is out through pvc(same as condensing furnace) due to smart heat reclamation. So if I seem partitial to overseas,it is because they are still way ahead of us on so many things, even though they never had pellet heat untill whitfield, but they just kept going, but cannot blame american builders as they can only go as fast as what the market will bear.

Europe also has more medicines that are not FDA approved here. Interesting.

X2, Bottom feed preheat and Selkirk DT preheat is the best efficiency you can get! Also alot less ash clumping in the burn pot so less cleaning too! ! !

cant really tell from the pic if it is, or isn't illegal. We cant see the outside part of the pipe, and I cant tell of the window is operable. If its inoperable (stationary), its a moot point.

Not wanting to get into mag numbers, but since its negative pressure, does that mean youre BELOW those numbers (MORE vaccum), or ABOVE those munbers (less vacuum)? Also, for grins, check out the pressures at the sensing port in the shell of the stove and the draft numbers at the vac switch (youll need a tee and more line to do this)...they wont be the same.

Floor protection looks ok, except im guessing you don't have anything underneath the pipe right after the stove (need shielding there).....now, youre picture doesn't show this, but I am guessing not.. http://hearthnhome.com/downloads/installManuals/Accentra.pdf (see page 9, paragraph 4)

Sorry, been busy.Window fixed(sealed)Stove window to fire protection is actually 1/2 inch short, have to wait untill I have help to move the heavy beast, but safe. For other poster, oak is hooked up,picture was premature.200 thousand dolllars of snap on tools and could not find a t fitting, bought one because I have seen the strange way harmans run.T is hooked into the vacuum switch. At cold startup(or test) it is .48.As it progresses with flame,it drops to.4.When in low(maintenice mode),it drops to .25.I cleaned stove during warm spell, less than 20 bags, all the pipe was very clean, ash pan was les than 1/2,but to the left and right of ash pan had 3" of ash.Quite supprised at this, but I have felt that most harmans overdraft, for all install conditions to meet emmisions,so right now I am happy.I do have to trim the rear panels to clear the oak tubing and the 4" tubing I welded to the stove exhaust adapter.Got warmer out here, can tell you very nice to have a unit that relights itself,as stove shuts itself off for 4-6 hours, and relights!Good little(but very heavy) unit.
