I planted this tree 25 years ago. My grandpa was worried about it's lean over the house. We planted it together and we took it down together. It was special. He is the one who taught me how to fall trees in his woods when I started heating with wood. Now I climb them. He's the best ground man I've ever had.

Good job buddy! Hey, maybe keep a round and make something out of it? I like keeping pieces of special trees and making something out of them...

I made the stringers and framing for my garage stoop/steps out of a spruce I took down in front of my grandma's place, it was planted when I was born......my grandparents are passed on, and the property was sold. I took the tree down for the new owners and milled it on-site with my chainsaw mill.....
