Been a hot minute since I have been active on here.
Been a busy year, lots of expensive stuff braking, home remodeling, long work hours...

But I got a little Christmas bonus from work just in time for me to cut the last few logs I had left, found a ad on FBMP and gave the guy a call, he only lives about 8 miles away.

We talked for a bit on price and he said he can deliver 4.5 cords at a time.
So I agreed and ordered 2 loads and he was supposed to deliver them the next day, he called a little bit later after we talked and ask if he could bring them out that afternoon, I said sure no problem.

He ended up delivering 11 cords he said some of the logs were muddy and he felt bad as that beats a chain up so he added an extra 2 cords no charge to make up for it.

So over all pretty happy with it, little more birch then I would have liked but it will burn!

    11 logger cords (4'x4'x8'). Delivered for $800
    Maple,Oak,birch and ash

Merry Christmas to you! Nice pile of BTUs and sounds like a good honest guy making up with the extra wood. Good to see ya here again.

Be sure to unzip the birch to keep it from rotting. I have had good luck with burning solid birch. It actually gives me a good bed of coals overnight for an easy relight in the morning.

Hopefully Mother Nature can aid in cleaning the mud off. Pretty good amount of wood! Now comes the best part. :saw:

It's working on it right now, we have been in the lower temps, had -34 wind-chill here a little over a couple weeks ago now it's 40F out and raining tonight, top of the lawn is sloppy and slippery.

Got to get a tune up done on the 372, the other day when I was cutting I think I fowled the plug up and I know my air filter is definitely due for a change.

I still got a few saws I can cut with tell then though

I'm hoping to get motivated on it and have most of the pile cut and split by spring.
Makes it hard when you leave for work on the dark and get home in the dark most days this time of the year

That's a great stack of wood for that price. You'll definitely be busy.

    Well..........what a nice gift indeed!

If it wasn't so far away, I'd be asking for the loggers name and number so he could bring a load (or two) to the U.P. :handshake:

I'll assume he wanted too much extra to gift wrap it? :D

Great to hear from you again RNC! :handshake: Your absence was noticed.

Very nice load of logs there. Nice that he threw in some extra. Gonna keep you busy and warm for a long time.

Be sure to post pics as the pile gets smaller.

The big bow for the top was out of my price range

I don't like boasting about my wood getting smaller that quick but I'll see what I can do :D

I was thinking the same thing. Too far away in either case more than likely.

You couldn't touch 11 cord of logs delivered for that price around my area.

Long work days, projects, kids activities, broken equipment, getting old, etc. .. makes it hard to stay ahead of the game and find time to do the hoarding we all enjoy.
