http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0038650/ We like to watch the older Christmas movies each year, the above is on at 8 tonight on NBC or one of the channels (11) out of Canada, a very good neighbor. We'll be watching it on 11.
And while you're waiting for it to come on, test your knowledge! http://www.funtrivia.com/quizzes/movies/movies_h-k/its_a_wonderful_life_.html
Good flick, definitely a classic. We like the oldies at x-mas time too. White Christmas and Holiday Inn are also movies we watch every year. The Family Stone is more of a current favorite of ours, my wife will watch that one 2 or 3 times in December alone...Cool thread Merry Christmas
When our daughter comes home for Christmas we will have to watch Christmas Vacation, the Charlie Brown Christmas show, A Christmas Story and Its A Wonderful life which we have all on dvd, it's a tradition.
Christmas movie marathon at my house every night. GF watches Hallmark, ABC Family, UP, and the dreaded.... WE take the Oxygen out of Lifetime networks - Rob Lowe must be the only male actor they can get, he is hilarious in the DirecTV commercials and his Sharkweek commercials from the summer were priceless
We stopped doing Christmas many years ago after I convinced the wife that it was bad for our health and well being. We do still watch a few Christmas movies every year, the main 2 being A Christmas Story and Christmas Vacation. Recently bought Christmas Story blu ray and may watch it tonight. Hope that the HD quality is good, but not expecting it to be.
We absolutely love it. Son's been grown up and moved away for years now. He's a DC metro cop and his wife's some kind of scientist. If they ever have kids, we'll start up the Christmas machine and like it. Without kids, there's no reason to like it. We went to Target and Meijer today to pick up a few things and everyone in the stores looked downright miserable, as they do every year. It was pretty entertaining to watch everyone in a mad frenzy. I think we were the only people in the store with smiles on our faces. I haven't gotten the wife a gift or card in many years and I like it that way. I think it's great that so many people still enjoy Christmas, especially those with kids, but we love our non-Christmas and wouldn't have it any other way. We do still have Christmas dinner. Brisket this year.
I'm a sucker for the old B/W movies.....Miracle On 34th Street, It's A Wonderful Life, A Charlie Brown Christmas, all the old Rankin - Bass "puppet" Christmas cartoons (Rudolph, Jack Frost, Santa Claus Is Coming To Town), but I really love A Christmas Story and Christmas Vacation. I have them memorized...... We love watching those and many others with the kids.....
