Been looking at boots and wanted something a bit more rugged than muck boots or hikers. I prefer slip on boots in general and found these. Any experience? Is this class 3 protection really worth it? Also, they mention the liner for cold weather requiring a size up. Any experience with that? Prefer to wear in summer and winter. Other suggestions welcome if you have other ones you like. Much appreciated!! Welcome to Labonville Inc. (tm) -
I got ones like the bushwackers, overall their fine and yep one size bigger is the way to go. In the summertime youll get sweaty feet though, been cutting appletrees in the summer with it..roasting. so you might wanna buy summin like that in addition, there are cheaper models and im sure youll find a domestic brand for a decent price. Im just not familiar whats around overthere.
I have 3 pairs of the bushwhackers , one pair are caulked. Try and find some Bama socks before you buy a pair so you can get a good fit . The Bama socks wick moisture away and keep your feet dry , get 2 pair of the Bamas for a summer's day worth of cutting, your feet will thank you. Stihl and Husqvarna both have similar boots . I also have a pair of Red Royer chainsaw boots , those are great in the summer, still warm but more mobility with them . Haix make chainsaw boots but I've not seen them up here .
The caulked vikings are very popular with the choker setters, and tree planters around here. The non caulked are probly good too. Haix makes some nice chainsaw saftey boots and they even look like they would be comfortable to wear.
I am debating that as well. Tried these on a Rural King and they were very comfortable. 11-Inch Bison Brown Safety Toe Wellington
