Any one have any recommendations for comfortable good fitting chainsaw protective pants. I have chainsaw chaps that work okay but the buckles/ straps are always getting caught on everything, ie getting on & off the tractor etc.
    Suggestions?

I only ever owned 1 pair. Won a bunch of stuff at regional GOL finals and they were in the mix . If they are all alike you'll sweat yur bawlz clean off in warmer weather.
I saved them for winter use and they didn't last long . Hook tooth vine and branches tore the chit out of them. They seemed restrictive also. I feel the chaps are the better way to go.

I wear these (when it is below 20 degrees). Foresterware brand. Very comfortable, but I wish the protected area went all the way up to the crotch.

A friend wears FIV brand, out of Canada, every day all winter. (Filature De L’Isle Verte)

The ones pictured above are three or four years old — I don’t fell trees in the deep cold very often. I am very careful when dragging cable with them, too.

I've only ever had pants. Easy on easy off. Dont know brand of the current ones, have had them a long time. I wear shorts with them in summer, cut off sweat pants. I suppose you could even go commando if that urge hits.

I have a pair of Stihl pants...a little large for me, but I use suspenders and they work well. Got them through a CL ad for only $45 about 4 years ago and are still in pretty good shape. REALLY hot in summer, so I will probably get chaps next summer (hopefully on sale).

I wear the clogger zero chainsaw protective pants. They are about the lowest temperature chainsaw pants your likely to find. Probably just about equal to wearing chaps and shorts. In the winter I just wear long John's under them.

They are a bit pricey but I need something a little higher performance than the norm.

Funny you should say about hanging up on everything getting on and off of the tractor. I have the same issue. It is extremely annoying. I got a pair of chainsaw pants from an arborist supplier (Treestuff or Wesspur?) and I'm happy. They are warmer than chaps by a little. Ive heard the Clogger Zeros are very nice and cool but maybe not as tough like for trudging through brambles as some of the others. I wonder what Barcroftb has experienced.

Mine have held up well and I haven't been gentle with them. If you plan on busting brambles or lots of brush in them folks may want to consider the mark II version:
