I’m looking for a good bag to carry my MS250 with a 16/18” bar in the truck under the rear seat. A hard case is too tall. Mainly worried if bar oil leaked.
I’ve seen a few advertisements but none I could see in person and reviews are all over the map.
Want to keep one with me for those every now and then side of the road scrounges.
    I don’t have/want a toolbox in my company truck.

What about a tool bag? Zip the power head in and put a bar cover on?

Could you take the top off the hard case and just use the bottom and bar cover?

Put an old towel under the saw to absorb any oil leaks.
I bought a moving blanket from HF and use that in the back seat of my truck.

A plastic boot tray works well.

Heavy duty plastic bag, the local grocery stores have them. Now, my weed whacker, hedge trimmer, both wear them, as well as my stihl192. Keeps them clean and dry. Don’t see why a power saw wouldn’t work as well. When I was working, I’d bag the powersaw and put it in the back of the pickup, worked great!

I put my saw when on the four wheeler in a base ball bat bag. It was less than five bucks at a thrift store. No leaks. It will only enclose a 18 inch bar however.

Edit: It'll work. I use a 026 with a 18 inch bar for my beater saw.
