Yup, too bad I am not a fan of the Harman Thermostat situation. Otherwise it would be gone by now lol

What's the "thermostat situation" all about?

They don't work like a normal heating system thermostat. Where you can have different temp settings while you are away, different temps throughout the day etc. It's a deal breaker for me.

That is a ++++++ buy. I'm betting it didn't stay for sale more then a few minutes after posting.
I love our Harman, can't say enough about it. So easy clean, so slow to get dirty. Burns hot. Reminds me of my wood stove. My other stove didn't come close to what this stove can do.

I agree, amazing deal for someone. It was just put up an hour before I saw it, so I was hoping someone from here could scoop it up. Normally I wouldn't post a craigslist deal but this one was so good I had to alert the members.

There may be a work around that involves using the Harman Sensor Wire and tricking the Harman into going in and out of fault mode. There is nothing in the manual about it though IIRC but I read about it once upon a time. It's just not something I am interested in doing.

There was a service report released by Harman. It required certain Honeywell stats to be used. I will have to dig around for it. It may have been updated. But I think it required stats that used gold contacts to avoid the 6 blinky. LW might be along to correct me on this?

Wish they had shown a pic of the firebox.....hard to believe it was never used, for that price.

basically right, Jay......there are directions for hooking them up as well, any Harman dealer can get them for you.......but it still works freaky....you have to hook it up in series with the room sensing probe.....it works, but ya hafta ignore the status lights when doing so. Im happy with mine, as the benefits (for me) far outweigh the disadvantages. I don't use a step-back thermostat tho....mine runs only on Harman hardware. Others needs vary, so I do understand IHATEPROPANE's point as well.

You could travel to there, and bring it back and still be way ahead of buying it at the local dealer. They just don't discount these stoves. They might have a $200 off sake, but that is the limit. Harman just won't budge on their prices.
We really like our stove. It was in the 30's last night so I turned on the stove. Had it set about as low as I can. Got up to 84 f in the family room. We still have a couple bedroom windows opened up about an inch. I like the fresh air to sleep in.

It that for a p68? Mine was $3800, no pellets or install. Then I added heat shields.

I just seen one with some options (tile bottom, nickel trim, etc) and it was over $4,000. I see that one is just black, but even at the $3,600 that LW states, that is $2,000 off!!
