I'm looking for a game/security camera that I can connect to my cell service and use to monitor my truck remotely through my iPhone, anybody know anything about this type of setup? I'm a techno neophyte.

If the camera also had temperature monitoring that would be cool.

Basically I want to be able to monitor from my iPhone my hounds and people who might be messing with them when they are in my dog box in the truck and I am elsewhere.

I like the idea too. I would think to connect to your phone the camera would have to be within distance of a wifi connection. If the truck was parked in the driveway and your homes wifi could reach the camera then your cell phone could get the signal from anywhere you are.

I was thinking more for public areas, like a store parking lot on the way to the trailhead or maybe even work so I could hit the trail on the way home.

I'm more worried about the hounds reaction should someone take interest, I don't think they'd get too far. I also don't want the dogs in a stressful situation too long should there be some sort of stimulus close enough to the truck for the hounds to notice. I'd also like to know should a scuffle break out. The temp monitoring sure would be nice, right now I'm getting about a 10 degree rise from ambient inside the box when the truck is in direct sun, that's with the cap side windows open and the back door of the cap open. I was surprised that the temp rise wasn't more, the cap is black, the box is wooden under the cap.
