About three weeks ago my dad came and helped me cut some box elder art a buddies house it was all fun and games until we got to the biggest tree we had that day and up until that point my husqvarna 445 was having no problem keeping up with dad's 372xp. 6inch rounds are no problem for either saw but I can manuever much quicker with the lighter saw. Anyways we got to the big one (by no means was it huge) about 28 inches at the biggest I started on my cut a couple seconds before he did and when I was maybe a quarter the way through he started on his second cut. Needless to say I put my saw down and admired the untouched power of thee 372xp. I told dad I need a bigger saw like that. About a week later he asked if I wanted to trade a set of tires and rims for the saw. I jumped on the offer. My fiance paid 100for the 4rims and tires last year and we haven't used them yet. I had to finish grouting the tile in the bathroom to twist her arm but I did it. And now I'm the proud (and anxious as *#$!)owner of a372xp. Now I just need to find a big tree and a decent day to try it out! I know that the saw is worth a lot more than the tires and rims and I asked if he was sure about it and he said he's got 3saws and no wood to cut so he was fine with it! Pretty pumped about it!

You got the Dad price for sure! Good for you and I'm sure he felt great giving his son a saw he knew you'd love to run! If he has a favorite something (beer?!), might be nice to throw in with the rims/tires! Cheers!

If I run outside later today I'll snap a pic ha ha. I made him a couple beaters for his 2pellet stoves. They keep wearing out and snapping in half so I made him 2out of mild steel and 1out of stainless. I'm a welder so everything was at work and I did it after hours after work. For him to buy one out of mild steel thru wanted $60! For all three I'll have $8 and 45minutes of messing with it. After finding out what the saw was worth I told him I'll make him a hundred! For only $30 a piece :p. Case of beer isn't a bad idea!

looks like a good 2 saw plan, but now that you're on this forum that will change to a 400000000 saw plan.

    There's a saying...

If you can't fill a truck in 30 minutes with a 372, yer chain is dull...

    Nice saws

    Is that Menomonie, MI?
