New poles or old? The new telephone poles installed by me are pressure treated, not sure about the ones that they pulled out.
Not if they were chemically treated. I mean you can burn em sure. But only if you like dealing with toxic chemical smoke.
No. Do not burn. The only reason I'd take anything like that would be to stack wood on. No burning. Looks like they maybe had to dump the load when they got into the mud.
Now i see why all the comments are to not burn. These guys did not post I know you cant burn them they are treated and covered in tar in some spots.
Today they are pressure treated with chemicals. The older ones were treated with creosote. Either way toxic chemicals are released when burned. I wouldnt burn them. Can they be milled for stacking logs or some other outdoor project Redneck
They still use some pretty nasty chemicals in some places . CAn still be soaked in penta and CCA that homeowners can't get any more. Pus others like arsenics. I wouldn't burn 'em and I wouldn't use them any place where you might ever grow food or kids could play with repeatedly. Some of the same treated woods were removed from children's community playgrounds as they were associated with higher incidences of cancers. I would NOT use them to build a kid's playhouse and I would be very careful where and how I used them elsewhere . You may not be able to buy CCA pressure treated wood at Home Depot but you can still buy it for agricultural, marine and commercial uses. ACQ and MCA pressure treated wood is what you'll find at the lumber yard for homeowner use. Personally I don't think you should burn any of them.
Hahahaha. Noticed the Flint Tint sign in the background. Then noticed your from a suburb of Flint Michigan. The irony is rich. Don’t burn em just toss them in the local reservoir.
They would make a nice base for a bridge over stream or brook. Put some planks on them and good to go.
