Got a little wind storm poplar in the yard this past weekend. Snow in the woods is still deep, but the yard was open at least. Used the 60v Dewalt to do the job. It worked great. Second load of shoulder season wood which should be ready for deer camp. There was too much snow in the woods to drive it all the way to the bunkhouse, but I found a good sunny spot to stack and cover it.
Thank you. It is our true home. I drive straight through without stopping for more than gas, so it takes me four and a half hours. With the family we allow for five, or more with a stop for lunch or dinner, or a hike along a Lake Superior tributary or two to enjoy some waterfalls. Our kids were all born up there and we used to take the trip with them to visit with family often so we are used to it. In fact without infants, toddlers and young children along, it seems like a breeze nowadays. Luckily they all had easy temperaments, so it was never too hard.
