I know many of you enjoy out door winter activities like snow machines, skiing, ice fishing etc. etc... I use to love to ice fish but sadly the best fishing spot within 50 miles of me was turned into a mud hole after the DNR thought that there might be an invasive aquatic plant living in it. Snow mobiles, well, I just never was a fan. I prefer warm and twisting the wick on a shovelhead. Skiing? Really? Last time I went skiing was when I drove to Chicago and tried to pick up a gal in a bar. (that's a joke and iffn you don't get it, well, you can blame me) I would love nothing better than to be out in the woods where I cut trees but this time of year I would need a D9 Cat just to get the snow drifts pushed away far enough to get in the lane. So, for a guy like me it is just wasting the winter away feeding the wood stove, drinking beer, eating the fruits of my wife and I labor from years past and about this time in February, the anxiety of the unknown of an upcoming year of whatever it may bring in the ways of health, wealth and just overall living life as a human being. What I do in times like this is to look back on last years spring and all that awaits me if I am lucky enough to see it all happen again another year. And the true test of spring for me around here is when I start seeing these little guys poking up from the soil.
No problems here, Buthcer! (Yes, I did get the skiing joke, too!) But then it really hasn't been anywhere severe enough weather to get shack happy now either.... BTW, Wheres Bogydave? Vaycay?
