My BIL's senior neighbour asked my BIL to help cut some fire wood.

This is the email he received.

Plan is to cut and limb in bush, skid to flat area near house, cut into ~5” slabs..no splitting, burn like that…after cutting. I just set on edge in place (dry really fast like that) and after a few weeks throw in shed or put on pallets…whole system based on laziness!.. but it works..so can use anyone with a chainsaw..Thnx!

I have never seen someone do this before and I think stacking would be an issue. Anyone else burn nothing but cookies?

We have a lot of cookies after our GTG's & they work great for the fire ring. We will also stack them in the outdoor boiler during the fall and get along fine.

A trailer full of racing can't cookies (cottonwood) and some hardwood cookies that we pick up after the GTG and use all summer for fire ring or go into the boiler in the fall. I stack them on top of each other and they actually last quite a while for shoulder season.[IMG][IMG][IMG]

I don't see why it wouldn't work. I had thought of it years ago when I had unsplittable rounds...gnarly, elm etc
