Anyone know what parts I need to put a brush head on a 535ls? I bought this thing specifically to put a brush/saw blade on but am having a hard time finding the parts. Every thing I find says it will fit up to the 525 and some even say “will not fit 535”. Must be different size shaft or nuts or something? Thanks

Thanks. Looking for the parts to attach that to the trimmer. I’ll just email husqvarna, they must have the parts if they’re selling the blade.

Any luck finding a blade kit for your 535 trimmer yet?

Not yet. It’s kind of been out on the back burner as I have a lot of other projects going on right now. Husqvarna did email me back a ridiculously long list of parts I need to make it happen. I know for the 525 it’s as simple as a support cup and flange and I think a new locknut so I don’t see why I would need all the crazy parts they sent me. I have a great husky dealer not too far away, I’ll visit them when I get a chance. Honestly I haven’t even looked at the trimmer that closely, maybe it has everything I need on it already to mount a blade.

I went to a dealer today and bought a blade setup for my 535. They had everything in stock. There are three pcs, a flange, support cup and locking nut. All the parts were less than fifty bucks.

Thanks for starting this thread and spurring my interest in finding a blade kit.

You must not be running the correct shield for the blade then? I have a 555 RXT (not available in the US, just a longer shaft version of the 555FX) that I can run a string trimmer, grass blade or saw blade on. The string trimmer and grass blade each have their own different plastic shield but they use the same "bevel gear", while the saw blade requires a completely different "bevel gear" with metal shield as shown below.

This is the bevel gear that I bought for mine to be able to run a saw blade. It's the same one that's on the 555FX.

Here is the 555 FX (can be found in the US and only comes with a saw blade)

Here is my 555RXT (I bought it online from the UK. It comes with both the string trimmer head and grass blade):
    Husqvarna 555RXT Brushcutter

I wanted the longer shaft of the RXT vs the shorter one of the FX because I am 6'5" tall. I also wanted to be able to run a saw blade on it, the RXT came with provisions to run both a string trimmer head and grass blade, but not the saw blade. While the shorter shafted FX came with just a saw blade. So the RXT suited me better, as it has a longer shaft and I just needed to buy the new bevel gear from the FX to be able to have a choice between all three different heads.

I did the exact same thing. Should have been my first stop. Dealer had the parts and the husqvarna Scarlett blade in stock. Wow, that thing is sharp! All you have to do is touch it against a sapling and it takes it right down. No more bending over with chainsaw to get all these trees down.

According to a guy who runs a brushcutter for a living, you want a "Maxi blade" and not those Scarlett ones.

The Scarlett is a chisel tooth blade that can be sharpened with 7/32 file at 15 degrees. It looks exact like the one that person posted, IDK? I cut with it for about 2 hours and it works excellent. Didn’t notice too much of a drop in performance but I touched it up after I was done anyways.

Ok, I see the difference now. Maybe I’ll try one of those when it’s time for a new blade. This one I have now cuts really well though.

I've read that the Maxi is better in larger stuff. If you aren't doing larger stuff you should be fine with the scarlett. I'm guessing for a home owner, the scarlett is fine.
