I looked on Amazon and found that this saw is listed as Origin, USA.
But some of the reviews list it as being imported and cheap.

$99 one shows the 38cc. That could be a copy of the redmax 3800 non strato copy. I liked those little saws by redmax. Matter fact I liked real redmax saws.

You are a serious wood cutter. So why invest in a chain saw that is for the casual user? From your postings, I doubt you would have patients with something that breaks easily when you have work to be done.

Probably worth it as a loaner only. But shoot you can get green poulans on Craigslist around here for 30-40 bucks all day everyday and twice on Sunday.

I'm thinking of it as a loaner, is also like to learn how to tune 2 strokes and don't want to duck up one of my echos.

I'm not familiar with the little saw you've mentioned, but does it have an adjustable carb? My dad has a Stihl 170 and the only thing you can adjust is the idle speed, no high/low jet tinkering.

I'm pretty sure someone here has one that they keep on there atv and like it. I have 3 earthquake saws kind of the same thing Chinese $50 saws but actually turned out being a decent saw I use one that I muffler modded and cut the adjustment needles so I could tune it runs great.

i think that is the same as the one a bunch of guys on here bought last year. they ran and cut good, the guys modified them and raced them at the GTG. bought them of ebay for around 30 bucks. sold under the earthquake brand. i have one that works great for limbing.

    Yea, I own echo saws,
Honda cycles, a Subaru, and a Cummins. I think I might be spoiled by reliability.

Let it be for $100! I have two of the earthquakes on 38 and one 45. They run good and are reliable and basically are not much more than a small cleanup or limbing saw .

If you want a loaner buy a wild thing off c for $25-50 or whatever.

I think the first quakes I bought were like $37?? Then then they went to $40ish
