How recent is that model and is there any difference between this model and the current model King?

New, with black door and legs, I am looking at $3,100 for the Princess and $3,500 for the King.

If I go used, I am looking at about $40 -$60 for a weekend rental and $3.45 a gallon in gas. Even at a 1500 mile round trip venture, I am still at about $200 in gas. About $300 with rental. Add another $100 for a hotel if needed. That is $400

    If I can find a King for about $1200, I'm still saving $1,900 - $2,000.

I've been tempted by some older BK's w/o glass, but I really want to be able to see fire that isn't there.:D
Only one recently that had glass. Too bad you're so far away, but if you're willing to do the drive, I can find it for you again....if it hasn't sold.
I believe it was a Princess Parlor, with spiffy door.

Pretty sure there is a big performance difference with the older BK models.

Not yet. Still determining my options and what the used market is like for BK stoves. If I wait long enough, something closer will pop up.

Yes, that looks like a current model. I was referring to the non-glass door models.

Also, trying to figure out how old this model is:

Yeah, CraigList ads are about as honest and accurate as a politician on an election campaign. If you take them at face value, you're gonna have a bad time.

That's the current model, and an absolute steal if it isn't warped or something.

Haven't been any changes for quite a while.

Thank you. I have contacted the seller. I might buy it site unseen at that price and have it shipped.

I was just thinking it would be worth having it shipped.

Sorta looks like this one, only without the new paint. Which is covering up my sweat stains ;)

I played around with it over the recent holiday, still as good as new. I'll have to tighten up the bypass next time we sweep. Should be about the same vintage. That stove was built in '05.

Good luck. I'm 'somewhat' familiar with the stove if you have any questions.

Can the classic be converted to the Parlor? What are the differences?

I'm pretty sure not. In the manual, it looks like the legs are bolted on, into a threaded insert in the bottom of the stove? I know there is nothing in the bottom of the classic. The base is tacked on. I kinda doubt that BK sells a leg kit. I've never seen a parlor, maybe beetle-kill can help.

Of course, I could be totally wrong.

That's the only difference. Ash pan is an option on the parlor, not possible with the classic.

Hmm, not a fan of the base on the classic. But if the price is right, I'll give it a go.

    I have the kej1107 Ultra
    Ash pan
Blower kit was extra, glad I got it.
Glass door was an option, I got it instead of an all steel door.
BK site pic is prettier than mine now, :

For 1/10 of the new price, I think I would adapt. It doesn't actually look too bad in person, which seems to be a Blaze King trait. It would probably look just fine stuffed in a fireplace.

My sister's sits on the floor, and the loading height makes it a pain. A raised hearth wouldn't work in the only good location in her house. But then, it doesn't get loaded often ;)

For $300 (sounds like they will take less??) well worth the $250-$450 to ship it.

Do you have an 8" liner? I know you have some big stoves, but forgot your liner sizes.
