Not sure what I'm going to do. Would love to do the Ashford, but two or three 3k stoves is a bit much. I need a few local idiots to give these a try and post them up on CraigsList.

What are the burn times on the Cape? From reload back down to coals and a 250 stove top, how many hours can I consistently get?

From as little as 10 hrs to as much as 16 hrs. It depends a lot on how it's loaded, since its 24" wide I didn't get to fill it up very often. I don't have much wood that's wide enough to make use of the whole box. A mix of long and short wood would be good too.

BBar, I'm very hesitant to pull the trigger on a 3k ......well, anything, but the payback should be enormous for me.

Have a friend in Seattle? Send him 1k and have him ship you this: http://yakima.craigslist.org/app/4111618040.html. Have a friend in Seattle but think the King is too ugly send me his contact info:thumbs:

Unfortunately, East coast CL BKs if you can find them are more than new West coast retail.

Oh my. That is nearly worth a crazed tear across the country at high speed in a rental car that will never be the same again when I'm through with it.

Google maps says it will take 41 hours to get there. I bet I could do it under 30.

With gas and car rental it would put me at just under $1,500.

That is a heck of a deal! I don't know how old it is, but I let my 1 year old King go for 2K.

I would have been all over that. I just missed a dealer return for $1500. Buying a used stove on the other side of the country isn't all that easy.

You might have refigure that for a mini van. I'm not sure what car a king ultra will fit in.

Waiting for a call back from a dealer down near Flint on a price comparison for the Ashford and Sirocco 30s.
    Called mid-afternoon Friday.
Not sure when I can put a call into the more local guy.
Next few days will be a bit busy.

Wonderful help when I was trying to get parts for that one stove ;)

I'll be blowing thru town about noon tomorrow if you need a hand.

    Yep, that's the one.
Didn't hear today...I may call 'em again tomorrow. It was late on Friday, so I didn't really expect a call.
Sort of did today though. Shouldn't take more than a minute to look up prices, and call me with the info.

Not doing anything tomorrow..well, we're getting up early to take one of the dogs to be spayed, and I'll be splitting the rest of the Oak.:axe:
I'll wave as you pass through.

They have a few other irons in the fire besides stoves. First time a lot of folks seen snow this year, they're prolly busy.

    Kinda chilly here right now.

    Noticed that from their site.
Do you know if they've got BK stoves in stock?
I should have asked, but I didn't think about it at the time.
Oh, and my busy-ness switched from one thing to another. Brother cancelled on me.......he's going into the woods, so I'll be working on the stove room attic and the Oak.
