    Alaska, North of Anchorage & South of Fairbanks
    Saw on the news tonight , Birch sap is running & expect a short syrup season.
    15 gallon to 1 gallon of syrup

    Gotta be close to Sugar maples to start , anyone check ?

    Sugars are done here. Very short season this year.

    Sugar still flowing heavily here. Saying it is a record year. Some processors running 24hrs. and still can't keep up. Also saying it is a year in this area for the lighter colored syrup apparently more commonly used in commercial applications.
